White cement is a hydraulic binder made from specially selected raw materials, usually kaolin and limestone of high purity, containing only negligible amounts of iron and no chromophore elements such as magnesium, manganese, and chromium. 
White cement is manufactured as Portland cement and Portland limestone cement, either complying with EN 197-1 specs, and in strength classes 32,5 - 42,5 and 52,5.  

Besides the high purity of the raw materials, consistent whiteness is ensured through:

• the use of low-ash fuel for the clinker burning process, which is accomplished under reducing conditions
• the very rapid cooling process (e.g. water quenching) to which clinker is subjected
• clinker and limestone grinding to suitable fineness, which entails the use of specially hard steel balls to prevent contamination of the finished product.
