Calcium sulphoaluminate cements  are special cements used for rapid set, high early strength development and shrinkage compensation.  In particular, Alipre® is mainly composed of tetracalcium aluminate sulphate (C4A3Ŝ) and belite (C2S). This gives Alipre® the ability to achieve not only high early strength, but also a continuous progressive strength development up to very high value (i.e. 60 MPa at 28 days). Its kiln production temperature is 200 °C lower than the one for Ordinary Portland cement, making it a “low energy” cement. Finally, its Light Buff Colour makes it suitable for aesthetic applications.
